Lasting leadership change is not driven by insight alone; it is driven by behavior that is consistently practised until it becomes automatic. A 2021 research on Habit Formation conducted by the University College London found that, on average, it takes about 66 days for a new behaviour to reach maximum “automaticity”. This means that in order for you to practice a new behavior to the point that you automatically do it without thinking, you will need to practise this behavior for at least 66 days. Interesting enough?
As such, sustainable behavior change requires structured repetition, clear triggers, and real-world application over time. This is the principle behind SomaBox Executive Coaching Tracks.
Rather than relying on open-ended conversations or abstract leadership concepts, our coaching tracks are intentionally designed to help you build and sustain specific leadership behaviors. By focusing on One Critical Behavior broken down into two competencies, you get to practise the behavior repeatedly in the context of your day-to-day work, to ensure that the behavior is integrated in how you live your life.
Our coaching tracks are built around a simple structure:
6 individual coaching sessions
1 hour per session
Focus on a maximum of 1 behavior (broken into 2 competencies)
A structured rubric to track progress
A peer pod session for shared reflection and learningm
Our Coaching Approach
Focused on Key Competency Development
You will work on two clearly defined leadership competencies throughout the coaching track to allow you time to consistently practice the new competencies.
Behaviour-based coaching
We do not coach “leadership” in general terms. We break down each behavior into observable competencies so that you can identify gaps easier, practice new approaches and track improvement easily.
Rubric-driven progress tracking
Each coaching track will include a simple, structured rubric so that you can establish a starting point with your coach, track progress across sessions and identify remaining gaps.
Application to real work
Every session is grounded in current challenges, real decisions and ongoing team dynamics, ensuring that you are able to apply learnings immediately and continuously improve over time.
Peer learning through pod sessions
We will bring you together with other participants on the tracks to share real experiences, reflect on challenges and identify patterns across leadership contexts. This is a great place for you to network with others and add depth to your learnings in this transformative journey.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the track a minimum of 6 sessions?
While it has often been said that habits take 21 days to form, recent research has contradicted that, to show that it takes about 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic. Therefore, we abide by this research, scheduling your coaching sessions bi-weekly spread out through 3 months (60 days). This structure allows you to practice new behaviours consistently over time, reflect on real experiences with your coach, and identify and overcome barriers that may slow progress. If you would like to continue beyond the initial 6 sessions, we’re happy to extend your coaching journey.
Is this programme only relevant for people working directly with teams?
Not really. While the programme is designed for managers who manage teams directly, it is equally relevant for managers who serve in crossfunctional roles or individual contributors interested in expanding their influence, and are able to apply the learnings.
Is paying in instalments available?
Yes, payment in installments is available. You may pay a 50% deposit upfront and clear the remaining balance in instalments before the final month of the programme, November 2026.
