The Trust Advantage™

Empower your new managers to build trust quickly.

What is the The Trust Advantage™

The Trust Advantage™: 90 Days to Trusted Leadership is a practical behaviour-change programme that helps new managers intentionally build trust during their first months of leadership. Rather than teaching leadership theory, participants practise small, observable leadership behaviours that strengthen credibility, improve communication, navigate conflict, and create psychological safety within their teams.

Using SOMABox's Pyramid of Trust framework, participants learn how trust develops, why it breaks down, and how to intentionally move relationships from uncertainty to genuine partnership. They also explore how trust extends beyond their own teams to influence collaboration across departments and the wider organization.

Over 90 days, managers implement practical habits between sessions, allowing trust to develop through consistent behaviour rather than one-off conversations.

For organizations, the programme accelerates leadership effectiveness, strengthens team engagement, supports smoother transitions after promotions or restructuring, and equips managers to create high-performing teams built on trust rather than authority alone.

Teaching practical leadership behaviours that create stronger teams, better collaboration and lasting performance.

Participants that take this course learn how to:

Diagnose gaps in marketing-to-sales alignment that reduce conversion efficiency

Build structured pre-qualification and demand filtering frameworks

Align marketing messaging with real customer buying behaviour

Design a structured handoff system from marketing into sales pipelines

Why You Should Support New Leaders & Managers

You may remember your first year as a manager. Suddenly, people were looking to you for answers. You had to prove yourself, make decisions before you had all the context, delegate work you could probably do faster yourself, and have difficult conversations with people who were once your peers. And sometimes, the hardest part was not knowing what people were really thinking.

These are some of the challenges new managers face in their first year:

  • People may stay silent, even when they see problems, because they are still figuring out whether it is safe to speak openly.

  • The pressure to demonstrate competence can lead managers to over-control, micromanage or make changes before understanding the team they have inherited.

  • New managers can struggle to balance giving people autonomy with knowing when to step in, support or hold someone accountable.

Adding to all these, we expect our new leaders to deliver results and changes immediately while simultaneously building relationships, credibility and trust with their teams.

The first year is therefore more than a management transition. It is the period in which the foundations of the manager–team relationship are established.

That is why your new managers and leaders need a more structured support while they are actually learning to lead in this new dynamic.

Who Qualifies
To Be Called A New Leader/Manager?

A new manager is not only someone who has just received a management title. It includes managers who are entering a new leadership context or facing challenges that require them to strengthen how they lead. This includes:

  • Newly promoted individual contributors stepping into management for the first time.

  • Managers moving to a new team and having to establish new relationships and credibility.

  • New hires taking on internal leadership responsibilities within an organisation.

  • Managers experiencing team challenges, such as high turnover, complaints or declining engagement.

  • Managers struggling with delegation, coordination or getting their teams to take ownership.

  • Managers navigating complex communication across teams, peers and senior stakeholders.

In each of the above situations, managers need to strengthen the same fundamentals: building better relationships, communicating effectively and delegating in ways that create clarity, accountability and ownership.
