Drive Execution Without Formal Authority

Drive Execution Without Formal Authority

Description

Description

Post pandemic managers and team leaders have increasingly found themselves caught in the middle, required to implement executive decisions they had little input in while also managing higher staff expectations around wellbeing and flexibility. According to the Gallup State of the Global Workplace 2026 report, managerial engagement has dropped from 27% to 22% as managers are now expected to manage team health, burnout, and personal crises while still delivering work, managing performance, and contributing individually. Other research also shows that managers themselves can contribute to these challenges by relying on formal authority to drive results rather than influence behaviour. This creates a self reinforcing cycle of micromanagement, team dependency, and burnout.

As such, this programme helps managers and leaders improve how they influence teams, processes, and operations by shifting from Command and Control approaches to Empowerment and Influence. It focuses on enabling better delegation, clearer communication, and more structured feedback, while strengthening both internal alignment and relational alignment within teams.
